I wish we could sit with our feet under my kitchen table and learn about each other. Here’s what I would tell you…
Studio Open House

Studio Open House

Glenda Goodrich, Janet Wilson, and I are getting ready for our Studio Open House and Sale. It takes place December 2 and 3 and will be at Glenda’s studio. We’re really excited about it, and can’t wait to see our friends and families.
I’m busily doing the finishing touches on plaster paintings, wall hangings, hand painted gift wrap, silk tissue ornaments, and some other fun stuff.

About Linda West

about us image I’m a mixed media artist living in Salem, Oregon. I work primarily in acrylic paint, plaster, and silk tissue, but love exploring new territories in art. I’m largely self-taught, and have been fortunate to have taken many workshops and classes from some wonderful teachers, notably Andie Thrams, Jef Gunn, Patricia Wheeler, Marilyn Krug, Deanna White, and Nancy Pobanz.

For the past two years, I’ve been studying privately with Andie Thrams, an amazing painter and book artist in Coloma, California. I met Andie when I took her class at Focus on Book Arts in 2008. I was instantly drawn to her gentle encouragement, soulful insights, and sense of humor. Our work together continues to evolve.

I’d love to hear from other artists and creative thinkers. Check out my blog and tell me what you’re doing and how you feel about it. I can’t think of anything more gratifying than a community of engaged, creative people sharing and exploring the world together.
